Ciencia Joven Academies For Schools
These virtual programs are oriented for 12-to-18-year-old students, as well as teachers interested in STEM from vulnerable educational institutions from Chile and Argentina.
Students interested in STEM areas participate in an 8-session workshop run monthly by each school’s teachers, while developing STEM and leadership competences.
They team up to develop a scientific or engineering research project, using a Project-Based Learning (PBL) methodology and guided by tutors. These projects seek to solve problems that are present in their own context.
Parallelly, teachers are also trained on the methodologies used in the program.
This program has a final STEM exhibition, where students present their project’s results, impacting the community.
