Aldea Bayer Kimlu

Es un campamento científico que busca formar a la próxima generación de jóvenes líderes en ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas de Latinoamérica, desarrollando todas las capacidades para impactar positivamente a la sociedad.
This program took place in March 2020, with 40 youth participants from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay for the first time. The venue was Elqui Valley, a unique and privilege location in the Coquimbo Region, Chile.
Main activities included scientific research from the Center for Advanced Research in Arid Zones (CEAZA), outdoor and leadership-boosting activities. Climate change becomes a key topic on this edition, with a focus on the importance of science when addressing and acting on it
How to participate?
If you are interested in participating and meet the requirements for any of the programs, you can apply.
Student:
If you are between 14 and 18 years old, studying in high school, interested in science, technology, engineering and/or mathematics, and love to work in teams, we invite you to be part of Aldea Bayer Kimlu. For application, you must fill a questionnaire, answer some questions, and record a 1-minute video. Applicants who satisfy the requirements and get the highest evaluation, will move to a final evaluation phase to select the participants.
Tutor:
If you are more than 21 years old, like volunteer activities, are a current undergraduate/postgraduate student or professional related to science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, you can participate in Aldea Bayer Kimlu as a tutor. For application, you must fill a questionnaire and answer some motivational questions. Applicants who satisfy the requirements and get the highest evaluation, will move to a final evaluation phase to select the final team.
